It is our great pleasure to invite you to the FEBS Advanced Lecture Course “Current Advances in Pathogen Research”, which will take place from March 21-26, 2016 in Yerevan, Armenia.
This FEBS Advanced Lecture Course has been designed to give students and all participants a deeper insight into the basic knowledge of and novel developments in pathogen research. Our course will cover a range of topics, from bacteria and viruses to parasites and immune response to pathogens. Invited speakers will present new findings on mechanisms of bacteria-host interactions; bacteria-drug interactions; identification of new pathogens; virus-host interactions; immune response to pathogens; future perspectives in pathogen research.
The course has poster sessions, where the participants can present and discuss their own work. Additionally, our program includes group discussions at the end of each session day, which aim to stimulate informal discussion about research topics suggested by invited speakers. All participants will be encouraged to prepare a short talk. The organizing committee will select 4-5 works for oral presentation.
It is also our pleasure to inform you that FEBS provides several travel grants (YTF grants) to PhD students and postdoctoral researchers for participating to this course.
The scientific program, group discussions, cultural events, and Armenia itself will make FEBS Advanced Lecture Course “Current Advances in Pathogen Research” a highly stimulating and memorable international scientific event that should not be missed.
